Crisp November

Everything is still in the yard right now. The rain has flattened all the leaves to the ground. The air is crisp, which I have always enjoyed and I haven't missed the garden yet. Having a baby does that I guess. I have spent the last two weeks coordinated holiday outfits. I can't really say I have saved all that much money going to the used children's clothing store either. She needed six different outfits for six different days of holiday celebrating with family. Everyone tends to what to preserve the moment on film and I just can't allow my baby doll to be photographed twice in the same outfit. It has never occurred to me before that half of the winter wardrobe is actually dress clothes.
Dress clothes in the winter is fine on warm winter days, but the cold days... that's tough. That's why men should always go out and warm up the car. A short trip from warmth to warmth isn't so bad, it's the 10 minutes of transition that's so brutal. Today is a day that the Novemeber air is crisp and fresh. The bird chirps echo in the cold, and God's beautiful world is just as stunningly grand as any other time of year. Only I tend to enjoy it from the inside. When you loose the feeling of the outdoor air that was given to us to perfectly fit the landscape it alters the experience. I'm glad to have reasons to go outside or I don't know that I would do it. I would be missing out.
