Trimming trees

I was hanging in the trees yesterday. Well, not really hanging, but I was among all the branches thinning and pruning. I forgot how much I like being in the trees. The one thought that kept running through my mind was how empty the branches seemed once they were trimmed. Especially the Amur Maple and Indian Magic Crab apple. They are both rather shrubby trees with numerous off shoots in the middle of branches, so once they were cleaned up, they almost seemed empty in a sense. Isn't that just like us, if we are going through some type of "issue" or dealing with adversity, when we come out of it, after all the work or energy put into the "problem" or "solution" as it may be, in the aftermath.... we can feel empty.
The glory comes down the road when we see the branches are stronger, there are more flowers, the tree shape has more character and best of all, it compliments the rest of landscape better. That is my thought about us, when we can appreciate the experiences and life stuff we go through. We too can have the same gloious results.
